Chiropractic Manipulation

Joint manipulation is a hands-on technique used to correct improper movement. The main purpose of an “adjustment” is to induce joint motion where it is lacking. Adjustments can be performed on many other joints in the body in addition to the spine. Dr. Jillian works with patients of all ages to improve joint
mobility and function, alleviate pain, and eliminate muscle spasms. She is well-versed in an array of chiropractic techniques that include Diversified, Thompson Drop, Gonstead, Activator, Extremity Adjusting, and Sinus Trigger Point Therapy.

Acupuncture dates back 5,000 years and is one of the oldest form of medicinal healing practices. It is well known for treating musculoskeletal injuries
and pain as well as immune, reproductive, mental, gastrointestinal, and neurological conditions. It stimulates highly specific points on the body to facilitate movement of blood and energy. Techniques can include the use of extremely thin needles inserted
into the skin, cupping, and manual techniques (acupressure). Dr. Jillian uses acupuncture regularly as a highly effective treatment to help manage pain and facilitate healing.

Manual Therapy

In addition to joint mobility, instrument-assisted soft tissue manipulation is essential to improve soft tissue mobility and overall function. Injured soft tissue
(muscles, ligaments, tendons, and fascia) result in scarring and tissue adhesions that cause pain and disrupt function of muscles and joints. Soft tissue injuries tend to build on themselves and worsen over time. Do you have that stubborn “knot” in your neck or shoulder that seems to be getting larger? Restoring and improving motion in the soft tissues combined with chiropractic manipulation is essential in your path to feel better. Dr. Jillian uses specially designed tools from Graston, FAKTR, and others to restore normal soft tissue function. This therapy is a favorite of many of her patients!

Pregnancy Care

Dr. Jillian specializes in post-partum corrective exercise to treat diastases, pelvic floor weakness, urinary leakage, and overall postpartum recovery. About 50% of all expectant mothers will experience low back and pelvic pain during pregnancy. Dr. Jillian caters to new and expectant moms and implements gentle chiropractic manipulation, ergonomic training, and essential core and pelvic floor exercises to ease pain, facilitate an easier labor, and promote quick postpartum recovery.

Physical Therapy

Dr. Jillian excels in physical and orthopedic rehabilitation to a variety of patients ranging from the pregnant mom, the desk worker, or the weekend warrior. She aims to teach you the proper exercises in the clinical setting as well as an at home exercise program to prevent future injuries. Treatments aim to reduce pain and improve faulty movement patterns to restore correct mobility and stability, further preventing the need for long-term use of prescription medications and surgery. She believes movement is medicine.
